For the past weeks, me and mom have been thrifting. Here’s a mini haul so that y’all know what’s gonna be inside a thrift shop.

Thrifting is a best way to be updated with the fashion trends without spending that much money. It also gives you a wide selection of clothes to choose from. I recommend thrifting so much however, make sure to wash your thrifted clothes properly for hygiene purposes.

To start off, I got this super oversized green shirt for 20php. Amazing right? Around March, me and my friends went thrift haunting (ukay-ukay haunting) that day. We went to Talisay, Tabunok and I found this shirt. I love the color because I have been searching shirts similar to this one so I am so happy that I found this. You may probably recognize this top because I featured it here on my blog months ago.

I also got this super cute dress when we had our thrift haunting with my friends, this one is from a thrift shop in Punta, Cebu City. I love the print and the fit, however, I haven’t wore this yet since its currently summer here in the Philippines and I don’t wanna be sweating all through out the day when I wear this on. Originally this was 35php yet the seller gave it to me for 30php only. Saved 5 pesos! Haha

I am livin’ for this shorts! Light denim shorts are my bae!!!!! I got this when we were passin by @ Carmen Cebu when we went to Tabuelan, Got this gorgeous for 50php. USD=1 Dollar

The same thrift shop me and my mom went at Carmen Cebu, I also got this jumper, I really wanted a jumper for aged now and the one on stores looks so cheap and the fabric isn’t nice at all. So this nailed me and I got it for 100php only! Originally it was 120php yet the owner was so nice, they gave it to us for 100php only.

A couple days ago, we went to Toledo and on our way home, we stopped by at Tabunok just to visit the Thrift shop me and my friends went last March. This time around, I went with my mom. I got this pajama top for only 10pesos! Really mind-blowing right? I love the pattern and its pretty much the reason why I got it actually. Haha. But I bet this is perfect for lazy days, if I don’t wanna put too much effort on my outfit but still wanna look presentable.

La Belle Nail Polish in Cherry Pink. And Sassy Nail Polish in Blu Hawai. Is by far the best nail polish combination ever. I didn’t mean I mixed them up or whatever though.  I love them having on my nails since it reminded me of summer and easter.

L’OREAL Smooth Intense Straight Perfecting Balm Been using this product for a year now and surprisingly, I have been reaching this guy alot this month. I like it because a little goes a long way yes. Imma all about that lol  does make my hair smooth and smells lovely plus, its packaging is legit. Metallic Rose Gold I mean, who doesn’t love that color? And the actual product is actually rose gold! Not in a metallic way though. If you get what I mean.

Avon Naturals Sheet Masks I love their sheet masks ever since I tried them, but a variety caught my attention. The Pomegranate one. Not in the picture cause I already used it. So gentle on your skin and my skin is so smooth when I took the sheet off. It also smells really good so you should give it a go ^^

My Nintendo 3ds technically, my brother’s but oh well he rarely uses it  I’ve been into alot of roadtrips lately and one of my main problems is that I don’t have a powerbank so I cant charge my phone but I want to listen to some music while I am still in car, luckily, my 3ds still works and it plays music and it doesn’t drain quickly so I can play music the whole trip. Plus I can also play with it.

Vans Authentic - True White Most used item for the entire summer. I  love Vans so much plus it’s white so it goes with pretty much everything and it is so comfy and looks really nice. Taking a break from my white sneakers from Keds because that pair was tutored for a total of 6 months. Haha.

Guess Watch. I don’t know what’s the name of this watch because it was given to me by my grandma for graduation. It came in a box with 2 interchangeable straps; yellow and pink. I love it! I really do! Haha. The design is so simple and I think why I like it so much.

White Drawstring Bag. This is actually made by my mom because I want that high-looking-quality drawstring bag because drawstrings are so mainstream right now and I want something one of a kind. Luckily god gave me a gorgeous mom who can sew (ofc she can sew, she’s a daughter of a dressmaker! Hahahahaha) It can fit a quite good amount of things and it’s white.

I often forget this part of a favourites video because I am dumb as hell but I have been listening to Sekai No Owari this month! And I discovered them this month also 3 songs from them is still on repeat up to this day. Click the title for you to listen.

Drama of the month:

The Liar and His Lover (2017)

I love the story and the artists! They nailed it! I also love Joy and Hyun Woo’s chemistry, this is the South Korean Version of The Liar and His Lover which is originally a Japanese Manga and also has a Japanese-Live Action Movie (I guess? Or a drama) I love the ost like livin’ for it! Because of this drama I slept at 5 am or 6 last Friday but it was so legit I was so happy for them, although I didn’t really see alot of people rambling about this drama compared to when WFKBJ and SWDBS was airing but it is a great drama to watch.

Anime of the month:

Omg this anime is by far one of best ones I’ve watched, very light hearted, super relatable, funny, and inspiring. Basically it’s a story about an otaku fat girl who likes Boy-Boy Love got depressed for a week without eating or going to school or something because her favourite character from an anime died and after a week of “depression” she went back to school not as the fat otaku girl but a kawaii otaku girl, Four boys in particular fell head over heels for her and see how everything goes out.

Five Centimeters Per Second. This is a Japanese film released in 2007 so it is quite old, but the story is very inspiring and it really love  the vibes watching it. The ending kinda suck but it’s not, really. You should give it a go.

Movies of the Month

Heroine Disqualified (Japanese Film, 2014)

What can I say? It’s Kento and Merei! One of my favourite Japanese Couple! I so love Merei and Kento’s characters in the movies and Merei is so kawaii I just can’t!!!!!

My Sassy Girl (Korean Film, 2001)

I laugh so hard watching this movie and Jun Ji Hyun’s hair is so on point!

Suddenly17 (Chinese Editon)

I don’t really know if it really is Chinese or Taiwanese or whatever the one thing I am sure is they speak mandarin. (or Cantonese?) This movie is so cute, the opening song is nice aswell, Saw it on youtube (the full movie) and watched it. I didn’t really dig information about it so if you know about this movie, or what’s the real version of it, then you should leave a comment ;)

I watch youtube videos pretty much everyday but there are some channel I have  been visiting quite alot recently, so here they are.

Simply_Kenna

Who doesn’t like Kenna? I love her style, her hair, her taste, everything! I love how she balances being so into vintage 60s-70s inspired looks and being an otaku. She likes anime even though I don’t watch the animes she always raves about but it’s a great sign she might be into kdrama one day, hopefully! Haha. And she’s so open-minded and she dgaf about what people says. Highly recommended her youtube channel.

LaMadelynn

She also has a great sense of fashion and she really is into hippie vintage style, she is also amazing and her videos are stunning! Very old-looking and her choice of music is really not my type yet I find it so calming. Discovered her through Marzia when Marzia and her did a clothing swap.

Haley Dasovich

Are you surprised? Omg you shouldn’t. Haha. Wil and Haley are my all time favourite Filipino vloggers but I have been watching videos from Haley lately and really like it when they do weird things for #DanLey HAHAHAHAHAHA I still watch videos fromm Wil though but I have been watching Haley’s vlogs lately.

First of all, he reminded me of Troye Sivan –younger and black hair version though. He is also into vintage  90s fashion and his videos are high quality and his room T^T omg I want his room! He really is a great youtuber that you should discover if you haven’t.

If you didn’t know I was a massive fan of Long shorts before I had the courage to wear short shorts. Ever since then, I didn’t wear long shorts anymore. Last time I wore long shorts was probably around 2012? Or 2011?

This is not a planned ootd btw, the walls at my grandma’s house was white and I think it’ll go well with my outfit so I asked my dad to take pictures of me. (He didn’t reached my expectations but it was good though. Haha.)

It was also the first time I wore a choker necklace (that kind of choker I mean) in public, even though choker necklaces are so mainstream it does add a little spice with your simple outfit.

I kept it simple. Wore my all-time favourite shirt because it’s so soft plus it’s white so it goes with anything. Wore white sneakers and blue printed socks to match with the denim shorts.

Big hand to St. Ives for creating this luscious body wash I just tried. I believe this stuff has been in the market for a while now but I just got recently got mine.  I already tried the scrub form of this body wash and I did a review on it so if you want to check it out then click (this.)

It smells so gooooooooood to me. And it really does nourishes your skin which is I am very thankful for because I don’t have to put lotion everyday in the morning because it’s so sticky and such lol. But guys, if you used this body wash and apply lotion to your body, instantly, you already achieved that soft skin and I am not even kidding!!

A little goes a long way so you can guarantee it will last you a long time, plus, it’s 709ml that’s a lot of product! 

Mother’s Day is right around the corner hell yeah, it's already tomorrow so I thought I would make something for my mom this year since I really don’t give her anything every Mother’s Day. HAHA.

I know this blog is slowly turning like a cooking blog but that’s okay. It’s alright. Here, I’m going to show you 2 treats you can make for any occasion but it’s still suitable for Mother’s Day.

A Surprise Vanilla Cupcake and Chocolate Chip Cookie will make you mama smile this Sunday. Enough with the talk and let’s get bakin’!

SURPRISE VANILLA CUPCAKES

Found this recipe here. but since I won’t be doing the frosting I need to make a little twist.

2 cups of All-purpose Flour

½ teaspoon of Salt (I prefer Iodized not rock salt)

2 teaspoons of Baking Powder

¾ cup of Sugar

2 eggs

1 cup of Milk (I used Evaporated milk)

1 teaspoon of Vanilla

½ cup butter

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat your oven to 190c (375f) and put cupcake liners on your cupcake tin.

In a bowl, add flour and baking powder together.

Cream butter and sugar, and beat the eggs one at a time. (The recipe that I followed was originally combining the flour,baking powder and salt together, but I choose to add the salt after I add the eggs on the butter and sugar mixture in order to achieve that settle salty taste.)

Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture alternating with the milk. Also, stir in Vanilla.

Your batter is done, take a spoon and scoop a generous amount. Then, get a single chocolate square and place it in the center and scoop another batter to cover up the chocolate. (I used Dark Chocolate btw) Repeat the process until your cupcake tin is already filled with the batter. Bake them for 18 mins. and let it cool.

The second treat is something I really wanted to make for ages and it’s the classical Chocolate Chip Cookies!

Found this recipehere. This has a marshmallow filling but my local supermarket didn’t have regular mini marshmallows so didn’t have a chance to make it, but it turned out great anyways!

CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

1 cup All purpose flour

½ teaspoon baking soda

¼ teaspoon salt

½ cup unrefined sugar or xylitol (I used brown sugar)

2 tablespoons of Oil (I used Olive Oil)

2 tablespoons Milk of Choice (Used Evaporated Milk)

½ teaspoons of Vanilla Extract

Chocolate Chips

Preheat the oven to 325F

Combine all the dry ingredients in a bowl and add the wet ingredients. At first, it will be dry so keep stirring until you get that cookie-dough texture. I added another tablespoon of milk to help them come together but if you don’t need it then you don’t have to put another tablespoon of milk.

Roll it into balls and flatten it out.  Bake them for 11 minutes and let them cool for 10 minutes.
