Oatmeal Cookies

May 02, 2017

I’ve been into baking recently and here’s another recipe I would like to share with you, here’s this gorgeous recipe I found here.
This is how to make Oatmeal Cookies!

INGREDIENTS:

2  cups of All purpose flour
1 cup White Sugar
1 cup Brown Sugar
2 cups of Oatmeal
1 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
2 teaspoons of Baking Soda
1 cup of raisins
1 cup butter
1 teaspoon of Vanilla Extract
3 well beaten Eggs

DIRECTIONS:

Combine well beaten eggs, raisins and vanilla in a bowl and let it stand for one hour (Do not put it in the fridge. Just let it sit on the table). Also, just place your butter on your table or somewhere not in the fridge. You’ll find out why in the next step.

After an hour of doing nothing, in a separate bowl, cream together butter and the sugars. If the butter is room temperatured, it’s easier for us to cream it with the sugars.

After creaming the butter w/ the sugars, add the flour, salt, cinnamon and baking soda and mix it well.

In the bowl where you let your eggs, raisins and vanilla sit for an hour, add the oatmeal and mix well.

Then, just add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix it all together. If your doing this manually like I did, I suggest using a rubber scrapper or a wooden spoon not a whisk because it can get a little to messy.

Prepare your baking tray by putting some wax paper and get an ice cream scooper (a spoon works fine as well) and scoop the dough and flatten it. Always remember they do expand so keep in mind of the distance to each cookie. You don’t to have connected cookies right?

Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 mins. or until browned. 250 degrees is fine though. Didn’t baked mine for 350degress because the highest temperature my oven can give is only 250 but it is still fine.

Once it’s already done, let it sit for a couple of mins. until the pan is already cooled as well as the cookies because it’s a pain taking them when they’re still hot and soft. But once they are already cooled, they should harden yet still chewy.

have fun making this snack that would probably last for 24 hours since it's so yummy. haha
love,
